Prioritizing self-care is important in parenting journey

FORT POLK, La. — In parenting, it’s easy to get caught up in a daily routine.

You wake up, make sure you and your kids are ready for the day, work, run errands, clean the house, cook dinner, get the kids ready for bed, then do whatever other things you needed to do once the kids are asleep. You’re left wishing there was more time in the day to do things for yourself.

This is especially true for military Families, who often must adjust to short- or long-term periods when a parent is training or deployed.
