Francis: OC cadre ‘second to none’

FORT POLK, La. — Brig. Gen. David J. Francis became the 29th commander of the U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center and director of Army Safety at Fort Rucker, Alabama, June 29. One of the first things he wanted to do as the new commander is visit the Army’s combat training centers, and he began his tour Aug. 2 at the Joint Readiness Training Center.

During his visit, Francis observed rotational training in “the box,” JRTC’s primary training area.
