JRTC, Fort Polk leadership stands tall

FORT POLK, La. — In March, the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk had opportunities to show the rest of the Army its importance as a premier training center, platform for deployable units and the reason behind its moniker — the Home of Heroes.

In the early days of the month, Fort Polk hosted a mobile training team from the 10th Mountain Division’s Light Fighter for an air assault course.

More than 150 Soldiers from across Fort Polk and area National Guard units vied for the chance to earn coveted air assault wings.
