ACAP hosts employers

The Army Career and Alumni Program Center, 7950 Alabama Ave., bldg 2155, suite 105, hosts the following employers:

• WyoTech specializes in automotive, diesel, motorcycle, HVAC and plumbing technology. Representatives will be at ACAP Tuesday and April 10 and 17 from 9 a.m.-noon.

• Government Personnel Mutual and Military Benefit Association has openings for agents and managers in the insurance field. A company representative is available at ACAP Tuesday and April 17 from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

• The Federal Bureau of Prisons and Pollock Prison will provide job information Thursday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

• Universal Technical Institute, a school offering education in automotive, diesel and industrial technology fields, visits ACAP Thursday and April 12, 19 and 26 from 9 a.m.-noon. For details call 531-1591.

AAFES jobs

There is an immediate need for intermittent food service workers for all Army and Air Force Exchange Service food facilities located on Fort Polk. Intermittent positions require an open availability to work any shift. Intermittent associates can work up to 34 hours per week. Interested candidates can apply at www.applymyexchange.com. Blood needed

The LifeShare blood bus will be at at the 162nd Infantry Brigade’s North Fort Gym, bldg 7318A, today from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Watch WSTV

“FNG” (For New Guys) is a half-hour lifestyle show featuring useful benefits aimed at young troops new to the military. Viewers learn about low-cost travel, cooking, assignments, electronics and command issues facing today’s young military members. The show airs on WSTV (channel 3 on and off post) Fridays at 5 and 11:30 p.m., Saturdays at 10 a.m., Sundays at 4:30 and 11:30 a.m and 8 p.m., Wednesdays at 4:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Thursdays at 2:30 a.m.

Thrift Shop

Fort Polk’s Thrift Shop, located in bldg 2531 on Alabama Avenue (last building on the right), is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., the first Saturday of the month from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and the third Wednesday of the month from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Call 537-0459 for details.
