Today is your last chance to visit this special holiday display. From 5:30-9 p.m., guests can partake in local cuisine, more than a half-million lights, photos with Santa Claus, kiddie carnival rides, holiday shopping, entertainment and more.
Visitors can tour the 10-acre grounds and share the magic with more than 40,000 visitors. Children can have professional photos taken with Santa Claus and packages are available starting at $12.
Walking through the grounds to view Christmas lights can be tiring and you may work up an appetite.
Acadian Village has Santa’s Kitchen to help feed hungry bellies.
The volunteers are as busy as elves serving up barbecue hamburgers, sausage and brisket po’ boys, chili dogs, nachos, popcorn, chips and sweets.
Ask about specials that can include gumbo, jambalaya, chili or red beans.
To warm up those chilly bones, hot chocolate, coffee and other drinks are served. Tickets can be purchased at Shop-Rite locations in Lafayette for $7 or at the gates for $9. Children under 4 are admitted free of charge.
