• 1-2-3 Magic — This program provides practical and easy-to-learn parenting techniques for children ages 2 to 12. It will help control obnoxious behavior, encourage good behavior and strengthen your relationship with your children. The next session starts Feb. 3 and meets each Thursday through Feb. 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Family Readiness Center, bldg 924. • Date night — A night set aside to give married couples an opportunity to enjoy each other’s company. The next date night is Feb. 11 from 6-10 p.m. at the Warrior Community Center, bldg 352, Corps Road. Free child care is provided, but children must be registered with CYSS. Call 531-1938 to register. • Play morning — A two-hour program where parents and children play together in a group setting. Activities include story time, crafts, music and more. Play mornings are held Tuesdays from 9-11 a.m. at the ACS Center, bldg 920. Call 531-1938 for more information.
• Practical application of intimate relationship skills (PAIRS) — A marriage education program for couples where participants discuss communication skills, dealing with conflict, understanding the “self,” intimacy and nurturing the couple bond. A workshop is set for Feb. 5 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the FRC, bldg 924. Free child care is provided, but children must be registered with CYSS. Call 531-1938 for more information.
• Anger management — A lunch hour workshop that defines anger, its causes and effects and develops an anger management plan. The next session is Jan. 25 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the FRC, bldg 924. Call 531-0636/1938 for more information.
• Stress management — A workshop to help participants understand stress, its symptoms and causes. Learn to reduce stress, time management, lifestyle changes, relaxation techniques, diet and exercise. • ACS Baby Center — Did you find yourself a little behind this month on providing baby necessities to your child? Speak with a representative to determine if you qualify to receive diapers, formula, wipes, cereal, baby food and hygiene items. The baby center is located at the ACS Center, bldg 920, and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Military and Family life consultants — Consultants offer short-term, solution-focused consultation with no records kept. Department of the Army and Department of Defense civilians, contractors, retirees, active-duty Soldiers and Family members are eligible for services.
