Current Department of Defense decals are still accepted for installation access, however, existing decals will expire in October. Once they expire, people will no longer be allowed access using only the DoD decal. The Directorate of Emergency Services encourages those who do not have a government ID or common access card and have a yellow, green or black Fort Polk decal to get an access credential prior to Oct. 1. The access credential can be obtained at the Visitors Center in bldg 5903, adjacent to the main gate on Louisiana Avenue. Requirements for access are a valid driver’s license and current DoD decal. If the decal is expired, you should be on an access roster along with the name of the employer or government sponsor.
