Express your love year‐round, but still buy chocolates

February means Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14 — a day most people associate with cupids, hearts, and chocolate. This day, which has many planning a date night, has others in a grouchy funk. What is so vital about this day that it has the power to make people feel legitimate or, alternately, like a loser? It’s ridiculous. We’ll start with the basics, the subconscious underpinnings of this day.
